CSOs:
Slovak Governance Institute (SGI) is the leading partner of the project.
SGI is a think tank based in Bratislava, Slovakia. It cooperates with several Slovak municipalities through a web portal Odkazprestarostu.sk launched in 2010. Odkazprestarostu.sk operates in 37 municipalities and gives their citizens an opportunity to raise their voice about the shortcomings in their neighborhood. The portal proved to be a great tool for achieving bigger responsiveness from the municipalities and improving the dialogue between municipalities and citizens. Within the web portal Odkazprestarostu.sk SGI also organizes volunteering events on a regular basis and educational activities in Slovak high schools to encourage youth to be more engaged in local government issues. Other research areas of SGI are labour and education policy.
In this project SGI is cooperating with two municipalities – the municipality of Bratislava – Nove Mesto and the municipality of Prievidza.

Prague mothers (PM) is an ecological not-for-profit civic association striving to improve the condition of our living environment and road safety, particularly for the most vulnerable citizens. PM supports sustainable mobility and tries to increase interest and a more responsible approach of citizens and public administrations to these issues. PM started in winter 1988/89 when it was necessary to react to the critical levels of pollutants in the air in Prague and to the inconvenient smog decree. In May 1989, PM organized the first demonstration in then Czechoslovakia drawing attention to unsolved environmental problems and requested accurate information about condition of the environment. Currently, PM has a few active members and several cooperating volunteers. Its work concentrates primarily on the significant impact of car traffic on Prague’s environment. PM's objectives are to ensure safe routes to schools for children, bringing up children as active citizens etc.
